Inside AISL's Continuous Color Coating Line: What Makes Us a Trusted PPGI, PPAZ & PPAL Manufacturer in the UAE
Choosing a coated steel supplier isn't just about comparing prices on a quote — it's about understanding what's actually behind the coil: the production capacity, the certifications, the range of coating systems available, and the track record of consistently meeting international standards. This post looks at the manufacturing capability behind Arabian Iron and Steel LLC (AISL), so you can evaluate us on the specifics rather than a claim.
Our Continuous Color Coating Line
AISL operates a Continuous Color Coating Line (CCL) in Umm Al Quwain, UAE, built to produce Prepainted Galvanized Steel (PPGI), Prepainted Aluzinc (PPAZ), and Prepainted Aluminum (PPAL) coils at a line speed of 60 metres per minute. The line processes coil in thicknesses from 0.20mm up to 2.00mm and widths from 650mm to 1350mm, with output coils weighing between 1.00 and 5.00 MT depending on the product line — giving us the flexibility to serve everything from light-gauge cladding projects to heavier structural roofing orders from a single facility.
Our annual production capacity stands at 150,000 MT of pre-coated steel and aluminum coil, all proudly manufactured in the UAE and shipped to customers across more than 50 countries worldwide, including the UAE, GCC, Middle East, Africa, South Asia, and export markets in the US, Canada, and the EU.
Eight Coating Systems Under One Roof
Producing consistent, high-performance coated coil requires mastering multiple paint chemistries, not just one. Our coating capability spans RMP (Regular Modified Polyester), SMP (Silicon Modified Polyester), HDP (High Durable Polyester), PVDF (Poly Vinylidene Fluoride), Plastisol, Polyamides, and PUPA/ARS systems, along with specialised finishes including anti-bacterial, wrinkle finish, anti-skidding, and self-cleaning/anti-dust coatings.
This range matters because different applications genuinely need different coating chemistry — a cold storage panel facing constant condensation and washdown chemicals needs a different specification than a coastal facade designed for 20-year colour retention, and having both capabilities in-house means we can match the coating to the application rather than offering a one-size-fits-all product.
Substrate Range Across Steel and Aluminum
Our PPGI production uses hot-dipped galvanized steel with zinc coating from 60 to 275 GSM, across LFQ, S5, SGCC, CS, DX, and HX grades and tempers. PPAZ production uses hot-dipped Aluzinc substrate from AZ30 to AZ150. Our PPAL production covers a wide range of aluminum alloys — including 1100, 1060, 3003, 3104, 3004, 3105, 3005, 5052, 5005, 5182, and 5754 — across H12 through H46 tempers, giving fabricators flexibility to specify the exact alloy and temper suited to their structural or architectural requirement.
Certified, Tested, and Standards-Compliant
AISL operates under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certification, covering quality management, environmental management, and occupational health and safety respectively. Every coating system we produce is tested against recognised international standards — including ASTM D2244 for colour matching, ASTM G154 for UV resistance, ASTM B117 for salt spray corrosion resistance, and ASTM D3359 for adhesion — with documented performance benchmarks for humidity resistance, gloss retention, and chemical resistance across our RMP, HDP, and PVDF systems.
This isn't paperwork for its own sake — it means every batch we produce is tested and traceable, and mill test certificates confirming actual coating specification are available on request for any order.
Colour Range and Customisation
Beyond standard production, we offer an extensive predefined colour palette based on RAL standards, along with the option to source additional variations, Pantone matches, and BS standard colours on request — giving architects, contractors, and fabricators the flexibility to match a specific project's design requirements rather than working within a limited stock colour range.
Serving Industries Across the Region
Our coated coil supplies applications across pre-engineered buildings (PEB), roofing and cladding, false ceilings, façade awnings, interior ceilings, rolling shutters, cold storage rooms, and air conditioning appliance bodies — a breadth of application that reflects both our production flexibility and the trust fabricators across these industries place in consistent, certified coil.
What This Means for Your Next Order
When you're comparing coil suppliers, the questions worth asking are straightforward: What's their actual production capacity? Which coating systems can they produce in-house? What certifications back their quality claims? Can they provide a mill test certificate for the specific batch you're buying? AISL's answers to each of these are backed by the capability outlined above, not just a claim on a homepage.
