The sheet finish is achieved by processing the natural mill finish material through embossing rollers. This provides a surface, which diffuses light reducing reflectivity and glare. It is used for applications on decorative effects, or to reduce surface reflectivity. As aluminum embossed sheet is both a stable and durable material, it provides excellent service as a roofing or cladding without the need of any protective coating. Aluminum’s highly reflective surface will dull to a uniform patina finish. Changes in appearance will be consistent along an elevation.

Application Instruction

Stucco aluminum coils/sheets are usually used in refrigerators, air conditioners and refrigeration equipment, and pipe insulation, the products have good thermal conductivity, heat dissipation due to the special nature of the pattern. Such materials are widely used in the fields of refrigerator, wine cabinet, solar panel, decorative aluminium product, lighting fixture, lighting box, sanitizer, kitchen cabinet and central air conditioning system. At present, in the refrigeration industry, the 3003 series of rust-proof aluminum coil are widely used; In pipe insulation and packaging 1000 series are widely used.

Applications

Stucco embossing is used for areas where aesthetics is desired and areas where reflection of sun needs to be eliminated.

Aluminum Jacketing

Aluminum Jacketing is a protective outer surface on mechanical insulation systems such as pipe, vessel and equipment used in industrial and commercial applications. Aluminum Jacketing (Also referred as Cladding) are chosen as metal jacketing for their easier forming and better resistance to corrosion areas. It protects the insulation and underlying pipe/vessel from physical damage, UV exposure, corrosive atmospheres, and water.

Types of Moisture Barriers on Aluminium Sheet

There are two types of moisture barriers used on metal jacketing in mechanical insulation systems; Polysurlyn and Polykraft that we provide.

A. Polysurlyn type moisture barrier

Polysurlyn moisture barrier (PSMB) is a thick three layer film that is applied by laminating the film to the aluminium sheet by a process of heat and

PSMB typically consists of three layers: a layer of polyethylene, a layer of aluminum foil, and a layer of polysurlyn (a co-extruded film of polyethylene and aluminum). The aluminum foil layer serves as the vapor barrier, while the polyethylene layer and polysurlyn layer provide additional durability and protect the aluminum from punctures or tears. Polysurlyn moisture barrier or PSMB sheets are a film lamination with a thickness of 76 µm. This is done to prevent galvanic corrosion and rusting of the metal jacketing. Mainly, they are used both in hot and cold applications. The barrier plays a significant role in separating the jacket from the insulating layers and offers protection to the underside of the metal jacketing from getting in contact with moisture, thus preventing rust and corrosion.

Polysurlyn Moisture Retarder provides an excellent resistance to moisture and has excellent abrasion resistance during installation. Polysurlyn is a high performance solution as it has no pinholes, is a multilayer film, has a very low water vapour transmission rate and a very low water absorption. Additionally, it is tough, scratch resistant and durable.

Our polysurlyn moisture barrier aluminium coil can be cut to length as desired by the clients. Our supplied products are used on metal jacketing and are mainly used for applications requiring mechanical insulation like – hot and cold pipes, equipment, commercial sectors, cement, power plants, industrial, petrochemical, gas and oil applications.

B. Polykraft type moisture barrier

Polykraft is a layer of kraft paper laminated to a single thin layer of polyethylene film. Polykraft consists of one layer polyethylene film with a protective layer of kraft paper. The moisture barrier is factory applied by attaching the jacketing by continuous lamination to the full width of the metal. Aluminum Jacketing equipped with Poly Kraft (Moisture Barrier) with anti corrosion and anti-galvanic properties.

Applications

PSMB is a good option because of its durability, resistance to moisture, and low cost, but it’s not the only one and another similar moisture barrier can be used as well like polyethylene moisture barrier and Polykraft Moisture Barrier.
