RAL is a European color-matching approach that specifies colors for paint, coatings, and plastics. It is allocated by the RAL Deutsches Institut für Gütesicherung und Kennzeichnung. ‘RAL’ stands for 'Reichs-Ausschuss für Lieferbedingungen'.

Coil processing is the modification and conversion of steel coil into a variety of shapes and sizes. Standard coil processing techniques are:

Cutting to length and slitting takes place in lines. Here the coil is cut to the desired proportion for further processing.
